If you’d like to PLAY LIVE MUSIC or present a listening event: Corduroy books intimate shows, mostly in secret locations, often in houses. If feel you and your music vibe with our ethos, feel free to reach out. We tend to go for music that’s somewhere between warm and mindset-expanding, with a good dose of humility. The audience will be sitting and lying around, so the performance must be calibrated to connect. MOST HELPFUL INFO: 1) Description of your act or perf; 2) Link to a currently-representative live performance vid and/or anything that shows what’s on offer; 3) How you communicate with fans; 4) Price your fans are accustomed to paying?; and 5) A few preferred dates (check our event calendar first). We check out every submission, but we are only able reply if we find a suitable spot for your performance. Not a reflection on your talent.

If you’d like to TEACH or HOST: Corduroy books select events with location revealed to registrants day-of. Some are paid, some are free. We’re open to pitches, if you have a topic, workshop, or other idea that vibes with our ethos. We love skill-sharing events, civics offerings, and talks that enrich human understanding and connection (e.g., psychology, science, meditation, creative speed dating, a discussion on the state of mind required for improvisation, etc). Please include: 1) Talk/class/event description (vid is helpful too); 2) How many attendees you might draw on your own (we have a little draw too, and our capacity tends to be about 20); 3) Social media, website, or other supporting stuff; 4) Suggested event fee; 6) A few preferred dates & times (check event calendar first).
